Your absence has cultivated a
silence that I cannot face.
The ache of my heart echoes
whilst I’m forgetting your embrace.

The dream of you remains
and still swallows me whole.
You are in the corners of my mind.
You are in the crevices of my soul.

An inescapable haunting on
every street; your shadow appears.
I see you all the time-
I see you when you’re not here.

I sit around and wait for the
night where I will wait no more.
Even sleep is no sweet escape.
I’ve never felt so restless before.
